September 14, 2025 - Day #238
In Trump World, It’s All About Trump
Lost inside the news blizzard created by the recent murder of Charlie Kirk, an event which has consumed every twenty-four hour news cycle since its happening four days ago, the blitz of social media posts by President Trump continues unabated. Since Trump’s first post about Kirk being shot on September 10th at 3:02 PM, he has posted 37 more times up through to 6:57 PM last night.
8 of those 38 posts concerned Charlie Kirk and his murder (1 showing himself embracing Kirk). Lest we forget, the day after Kirk’s murder were the September 11 memorial remembrances, in which Trump participated and about which he posted 6 times. Later that day he attended a New York Yankees’ baseball game, which he posted 10 times. The 14 remaining posts covered various subjects as diverse as congratulating a golfer to reposting videos by supporters of himself to a long post about the possibility of more Russia sanctions and one congratulating Missouri on its redistricting and one advertising an upcoming appearance on the “FOX and Friends” TV show. Of the 38 posts, he is pictured 12 times.
Four of the posts within the miscellaneous category sparked additional attention and are shown below, in full.
@realDonaldTrump • Truth Social • September 11, 2025 @ 3:01 PM ET — I just informed Senator Ron Johnson that, based on his request, I am approving $29.8 Million Dollars for the wonderful State of Wisconsin to help them recover from the major storms and flooding they experienced in August. We had Huge Victories in Wisconsin in 2016, 2020, and 2024, and it is my Honor to deliver BIG for Wisconsinites
@realDonaldTrump • Truth Social • September 11, 2025 @ 3:01 PM ET — I just got off the phone with our wonderful Republican Leader John Thune. I am approving over $500,000 for the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Tribe in the Great State of South Dakota for the terrible Storms and Flooding they endured in June. I love the people of South Dakota, who voted for me in Historic Margins in 2016, 2020, and 2024. Together, we will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
@realDonaldTrump • Truth Social • September 11, 2025 @ 3:01 PM ET — I have just spoken with Senator Roger Marshall, and informed him that we will be granting $5.7 Million Dollars to assist with the severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that ravaged the Great State of Kansas, where I had Big Victories in 2016, 2020, and 2024. THANK YOU to Senators Marshall and Moran, the Republican Members of Congress, and the Republican State Legislature, who I pay very close attention to, for their advocacy for these important recovery funds — It is my Great Honor to do so. I LOVE KANSAS!
@realDonaldTrump •Truth Social • September 11, 2025 @ 2:01 PM ET — I am proud to approve nearly $32 Million Dollars in assistance for the Great State of North Carolina, which I WON BIG all six times, including Primaries, in response to their recent flooding events in July. Senator Tedd Budd, future Senator Michael Whatley, and all of our incredible North Carolina Republicans have asked for this, and I am happy to do it — North Carolinians deserve it. I just notified Governor Stein, and I fully expect he will make sure the funds are used to help the State recover quickly. The last Democrat Governor, Roy Cooper, who now wants to be Senator, did a terrible job with all of the Storms and massive Water Damage to the State. We came in on January 20th, and did a great job of bringing North Carolina BACK. Michael Whatley and Ted Budd were of great help. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
One of Trump’s 38 posts since Charlie Kirk’s murder
Unsurprisingly, Trump’s narcissism compels him to make himself the center of attention. He can’t just announce disaster aid to states. He instead uses the announcements as vehicles to tell the world yet again of his generosity by a transactional gifting of recovery monies to the needy as if it is out of his own pocket. The Great Trump, the fatherly benefactor to the needy.
Trump’s narcissism won’t allow him to step back from the attention focus (rightly or wrongly) on Charlie Kirk’s murder, and instead is compelled to insert himself into the overly ravenous news feast it has become.
And most shamefully, Trump’s narcissism won’t allow him to let the focus be on the tragic events of 24 years ago, as he himself is compelled to dominate the remembrances by his omnipresence at both the official ceremonies and the Yankees game following.
It’s nothing new and we all have come to expect that, in Trump world, it is all about Trump.
But not unlike the horrific events of September 11, 2001, and even though we are reminded daily, we need to never forget the dreadfulness of our president.
